Infnite Safety Ltd was founded in 2006 by Claire Sheehan. The
company has grown year-on-year both in terms of turnover and number of clients. With a small start-up budget, very little
advertising was placed yet the business grew through recommendations and word of mouth. We
offer the full range of Health and Safety Services to all industries including Construction, Manufacturing, Warehousing, Call
Centres, Offices and Retail. All our Safety Managers are NEBOSH qualified and undertake
IOSH Continual Professional Development.
Claire started
her career in Health and Safety with the National Grid Company. Whilst covering an Environmental Assistants job, she
passed the NEBOSH National General Certificate with Distinction and developed an enthusiasm and aptitude for Health and Safety
at Work. Following the re-structure of the company, Claire moved to a small health and safety consultancy to gain
experience of range of industries whilst working towards the NEBOSH National Diploma Part 1. During this post, it became
apparent that she had a natural ability for training and translating information for delegates to make it relevant and
easy to understand. Claire then moved to Crosby Homes to gain more experience of the Construction industry. It
was during her post at Crosby Homes that she obtained a degree in Health and Safety Management and contributed to their oustanding
number of safety awards from the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA).
Claire gained all her
qualifications at the prestigous Woodland Grange Training Facility in Leamington Spa. Their methods of training are
intensive and effective, leading to all examinations being passed with Credit or Distinction. Holding
these qualifications entitles Claire to the grade of Chartered Safety Practitioner with the Institute of Occupational Safety
and Health (IOSH) for which she completes Continual Professional Development.
Infinite Safety
Ltd is a small but resourced Health and Safety Consultancy, which is unique in the way it works around a clients business.
Safety policies and procedures which dictate change are not imposed upon a company. Instead the company is analysed
and safety issues are addressed in a way which can realistically be implemented and involves the workforce from Director to
employee to contractor. This approach has proved to be effective and well recived due to the lack of major change or
disruption. The difference is, we manage safety and offer solutions. We don't highlight non-conformances and issue
reports - we help from start to finish.
Training by Infinite Safety Ltd also adopts a slightly different
approach. Delegates are assessed and split into groups dependent on their health and safety experience. The core
message is given to the group then practical group work is given with trainers circulating and delivering the message at the
relevant level. For example, an employee may have sat Risk Assessment training several times, so will be tasked on improving
control measures, those that have sat it maybe once would be asked to calculate levels of risk before and after control measures
and the novices would be set to work identifying hazards in a scenario relevant to their work.
